What's the rush? Why do I need to book so far in advance?
I see brides being more prepared than ever this year! Most of my brides are highly organized and know exactly what they want for their wedding. They know how they want the event space to look, the colors they are using and have decoration ideas for the reception. They also have a cake design in mind and are booking their appointments 8-12 months in advance. If you are planning a 2017 I highly recommend that you make your arrangements now for your wedding.
The wedding season in Atlanta begins in the Spring and there are only so many event spaces here that have the look you want as well as the event planner you are hoping to work with. Likewise, it can take weeks for your gown to be ordered and arrive- then there are all of the fittings that occur right up until the wedding date. The photographer you want is likely desired by many, many brides and the same goes for artistic cake designers. There are only so many of us in Atlanta and brides are wanting unique weddings now that show their personality while also making all of their wedding dreams come true. I have brides that are already booking for next November! I admire how organized they are and admit that I wasn't as organized with my own wedding 20 years ago.
Get the vendors you want by booking NOW!
Brides have so much access to information about vendors and it seems, more than ever, that millennial brides want from-scratch cakes with all natural ingredients.
This is good for me because it's my specialty. I only make from-scratch cakes using the highest quality ingredients. I can't Imagine using icing out of a bucket! Buttercream icing should contain BUTTER not soy or tons of chemicals. Bleck. Opt for from-scratch cakes that are artistic and beautiful and thrill yourself as well as your guests. And by the way- the price is the same as wedding cakes NOT made from scratch! Yep it's true. We are all competitive so don't you deserve a delicious and beautiful cake on your wedding day? I THINK YOU DO.
I Hate to Say No
It's always sad when I have to tell a bride I'm already booked on her wedding day. I really try to accommodate every bride that contacts me but it just isn't possible if the date has already been booked.
Brides book your vendors now so you get the ones you want! Time is wasting and the Smart Bride is making appointments and vendor decisions now for next year.

Baking Tip: Baker's Joy is a superb product for coating your pans. It creates a wonderful crumb and cakes release every time.
Bride Tip: Fondant is a decorating medium. Did you know that your caterer can remove the fondant before serving your cake? Underneath that fondant is yummy buttercream made with REAL butter. Yippee!!
